Something About Digging a Hole
Okay, I'm a little pissed. Yah, I said it... pissed. There are so little dramas worth watching on television and Prison Break is one of them. It is such a fresh relief from the whole lawyer-doctor-family guy dramas that are usually found on t.v. . The story is a little complex, but here's the jist of it:
- Brother is framed for murder and is sentenced to death
- Younger brother designed the prison where older brother is being held
- Younger brother tattoos a map of the underground workings of the prison on his back
- Younger brother robs a bank as to be incarcerated in same prison as older brother
- When in jail, younger brother begins work digging a hole from the back of his cell's toilet to the outside world
- Once complete, younger brother will escape with older brother (along with the 10 or so inmates that found out about the plan and now insist to be included with the breakout)
Okay it sounds stupid, but it really is a good show. Well I must say that after watching the "Key" episode I was so flustered I had to sit on the can for a while. For some reason Michael (younger brother) told the prisons biggest snitch about their escape plan. The snitch was being abused by his cell mate and Michael felt bad for him. He told the snitch he could come along on the prison break if he agreed to help out. Well the snitch went straight to the warden and told him everything. At the end of the episode the warden discovered the hole under the guards room floor. Michael and his buddies have been digging that hole for 19 episodes! The hole is the key to their escape! Really, Fox, please don't let this series go to pot. I'm begging you! I read online that there will be a second season; I hope they won't waste it digging another freaking hole!
UPDATE---------------------->
Okay, I had some time to sleep this episode off. I was under the impression that this series would only last one season; many people thought Fox used it as a filler so they could shoot more episodes of 24. With the hole being discovered it does leave the door open for a second season which, like I said before, there will be. The series has two key plots: An FBI cover-up and a prison escape. While there will have to be a new spin on the escape idea the cover-up doesn't go away. The discovery of the hole is bad for the escape but good for a second season.
