Something About Spring
After a somewhat long and cold Winter, Spring has finally come to Korea. It was raining the past 4 days but this morning there is plenty of sunshine. The magnolias and cherry blossoms are out, and Nonsan has it's annual Strawberry Festival this weekend. To top things off, one of the Korean sports channels aired The Toronto Blue Jay's opening game (live) this morning. From what I watched, the Jay's look awesome this season. The score was 4-1 for the Jay's in the 6th when I turned it off. Nice hitting, nice running and the Rogers Center looked sold out! I can remember going to the opening game in 1995 and seeing the place half empty. Of course that was just after the strike. The downside to Spring is that the local farmers have started spreading manure on the fields. I guess you can't have it all.
