Something About Renewals
Does it seem strange that a lot my posts have to do with television? It seems that way anyway. I was reading online that Scrubs and 7th Heaven have been renewed for next season. Scrubs was a given, but 7th Heaven? I admit I like this show and watch it on a weekly basis, but this show has been cancelled! The final two episodes this season are named "Goodbye" & "And Thankyou" respectively. It turns out it was the WB's decision to cut the show because of high production costs. Starting in September 2006 the WB will now be called the CW Network. This new network has said they want to renew 7th Heaven for at least one more season. Interesting. As for Scrubs, a strange situation is brewing. While Scrubs draws a lot of viewers and, in my opinion, is having it's best season yet, NBC doesn't feel like renewing it for another season. Apparently the show will jump to ABC. Given that My Name is Earl is the only other hit comedy the network airs it puzzles me as to why NBC would dump Scrubs.
